About

Laura is a full-time church youth worker on a year-long missions team and amateur writer. Before that, she was a medical student, although she turned out (mostly) okay. Mostly though, she's a Christian who is forever grateful for the grace of God and tries her best in her own little way to show it to others.

Born and bred Northern Irish, her "how now, brown cow" accent is slightly marred by a hint of southern English after a year spent at university in Norwich. However, she now lives and works back in her hometown where you're most likely to find her drinking an unhealthy amount of tea in quaint tea shops, reading novels and tearing her hair out over messy games.

Some Melodious Sonnet is the chronicle of a year spent working with young people and with God. It's a journal of the good, the bad and the godly, and a hope of finding something beautiful among the ordinary, the music in the noise of busyness and a joy in the hard decisions.
